This is a gorgeous trail that is super easy to access since it is right off of Hwy 35. The beginning of the trail is rocky and rough, but it smooths out higher up. As you continue to climb up along the side of the ridge, you are afforded several incredible views of the Flathead Lake, which is right below you. This trail is the perfect nearby day-hike destination!
From Bigfork, head south on Hwy 35 along flathead lake. About halfway <br />down the lake, you will see signs for the Beardance trailhead, and the <br />pulloff will be on your right between the highway and the lake, with the trail <br />starting back across on the other side of the highway.
